The IVECO Group and Hyundai recently launched the eMoovy electric vehicle on the European market, which combines Hyundai’s EV chassis-cab-based platform with IVECO’s cargo space.

The new vehicle has an 800 V system for ultra-fast charging, with a maximum range of 320 km (WLTP cycle) per charge. The charging experience is ultra-fast and takes only 10 minutes to provide an additional 100 km of range.
The eMoovy has an intelligent battery management system and large battery capacity compared to electric light commercial vehicles in the same class (76.1 kWh). Sensors detect battery information to prevent malfunctions and maintain a safe condition. The vehicle is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities specifically designed for Multi-purpose Vehicles (MPVs) to provide electricity both inside and outside the vehicle.

“Leveraging Hyundai’s pioneering global eLCV platform, we aim to advance EV mobility technology combined with IVECO’s European expertise to position eMoovy as a cutting-edge transportation platform that can transform the market,” the two companies explained.

Ken Ramírez, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Commercial Vehicle & Hydrogen Business at Hyundai Motor Company said, “eMoovy is the first all-new vehicle to emerge from our partnership with Hyundai and is a demonstration of our shared commitment to zero-emission mobility. With eMoovy, we further expand our offering on the electric power front, entering a new segment to provide our customers with a wider choice of effective solutions to support their energy transition and improve their business operations.”

“Hyundai and IVECO are committed to accelerating the green transition of commercial vehicles (CVs) and fostering competitiveness by creating innovative solutions in the rapidly evolving commercial vehicle market. Since the beginning of their partnership in 2022, Hyundai and IVECO have made great strides,” said Luca Sra, President Truck Business Unit, Iveco Group
