Danfoss has announced that Daniel Winter will assume the role of President of Danfoss Power Solutions starting January 1, 2025. Winter succeeds Eric Alström, who is leaving the company after 12 years to pursue new professional opportunities.

With a strong track record at Danfoss, Daniel Winter, currently CFO of Power Solutions, is set to lead the segment during a pivotal time for the electric and industrial markets. “I’m excited to build on our strong foundation, enhance our products, strengthen customer relationships, and leverage the talent of our team,” President Winter stated. “While the market presents challenges, we are prepared to navigate them and elevate Power Solutions to new heights.”

Strategic Priorities for the future

Winter takes over a division that has undergone significant transformation under Alström’s leadership, notably the successful merger with Eaton Hydraulics. Looking ahead, Danfoss Power Solutions will focus on the following strategies:

Electrification and Innovation – Continuing to develop advanced solutions to support the global energy transition, emphasizing hybrid and electric technologies.

Energy Efficiency Optimization – Addressing the rising demand for efficiency with cutting-edge hydraulic solutions and sustainable technologies.

Market Expansion – Strengthening its leadership in mobile and industrial hydraulics while expanding its presence in emerging markets.

Process Digitalization – Integrating digital tools to enhance operational performance, reduce costs, and optimize energy resource management.

The Danfoss Vision

Kim Fausing, CEO of Danfoss, expressed confidence in Winter’s leadership: “Daniel will ensure continuity and drive our long-term growth plans. His experience and passion for the industry will be instrumental in Power Solutions’ future success.”

With this leadership transition, Danfoss Power Solutions is poised to tackle a rapidly evolving market, focusing on innovation and sustainability as key pillars to meet the challenges of the global energy sector.
