M.G.M. Motori Elettrici S.p.A. is the leading Italian technology for brake motors, established for 75 years in Europe and worldwide. The main production facility is located in Serravalle Pistoiese (PT), with a commercial office and warehouse in Assago (MI). Brake motors specialists since 1947
Its global presence is supported by a network of distributors for sales and assistance in over 75 countries. M.G.M. motors are used in industrial plants and machinery across a wide range of sectors, including packaging, food industry, lifting and handling equipment, automotive, theatrical movements and wind turbine generators.
100% of the brake motors are produced at the Serravalle Pistoiese facility. The components for standard non-brake motors are processed and then shipped to foreign branches for final assembly, ensuring the flexibility needed to meet customer demands worldwide.
Much of what can be found today in any brake AC motor originated in the company’s laboratories. Since 2008 the average energy consumption of M.G.M. products has continuously decreased. All single-speed motors are available with energy efficiency levels compliant with the new European regulations.
Sustainability as a key factor
Sustainable development and environmental respect are key objectives for the company, which is committed to reducing energy waste and preserving resources for future generations. Climate control is supported by a geothermal system and plastic consumption has been minimized.
Additionally, by rethinking and redesigning materials and production processes, the company has reduced potable water usage and the energy required for manufacturing brake motors, resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions.
In line with this commitment, the existing photovoltaic system has recently been expanded. It already covered 100% of the energy needs for both the factory and offices, allowing for increased energy demand due to the transition of the company vehicle fleet from combustion engines to electric ones.
